    • A government directory of validated resources that supports, recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration for service members, veterans, family members, and caregivers.
  • Jeffco Action Center
    • The Action Center’s mission is to provide an immediate and compassionate response to those in our community experiencing hardship and by offering the resources and services needed to stabilize lives and promote pathways to lasting change.
  • Denver Human Services
    • A good general resource for anything you may need, part of City and County of Denver.
    • They offer a Resource Guide to all resources in Jeffco.
  •  Jefferson County Human Services
    • Through early childhood education, adult and child protection, job training, food assistance, Medicaid, and other programs, Human Services helps people build better, safer lives.
  • Colorado PEAK
    • The fast and easy way to access benefit information - anytime and anywhere. PEAK is an online service for Coloradans to screen and apply for medical, food, cash, and early childhood assistance programs.
  • Early Milestones Colorado: Family Resources
    • Colorado specific family resources compiled by Early Milestones Colorado.
  • Mile High United Way
    • Call 2-1-1 for a multilingual and confidential service that connects individuals to critical resources including food, shelter, rental assistance, childcare, and more. The 211 database contains more than 7,000 health and human resources and is updated daily to help community members meet basic needs.
  •  Jefferson County Veterans Services Office
    • This office assists Jefferson County residents who served in the United States armed forces obtain any and all Veterans Administration (VA) benefits for which they may be eligible. There is no fee of any kind for our assistance.

Housing:

  • Bill Daniels Veteran Services Center
    • Managed by Volunteers of America, this program is focused on helping break the cycle of homelessness among Colorado’s Veteran population.
  • VASH Program
    • The HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program combines Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance for homeless Veterans with case management and clinical services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  VA provides these services for participating Veterans at VA medical centers (VAMCs) and community-based outreach clinics.
  • Rocky Mountain Human Services
    • Homes for All Veterans (HAV) – A homelessness assistance program funded by the VA and operated by Rocky Mountain Human Services. Eligibility criteria can be found below:
      • SSVF Veteran Status: A person who served in the active military, naval, or air service, regardless of length of service, and who was discharged or released there from.
      • Did not receive a Dishonorable discharge or was discharged or dismissed by reason of a General Court-Martial.
      • Gross Income less than 50% of Area Median Income (per County residing and household size).
      • Must be homeless or at risk of homelessness.
  • Foothills Regional Housing Authority
    • Offers income restricted, senior, and market rate housing in the Foothills Area.

Food:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
    • SNAP provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget of needy families so they can purchase healthy food and move towards self-sufficiency.
  • Catholic Charities of Central Colorado
    • Sack lunches daily between 11 am – noon, email/phone ordering baby food, diapers, and wipes.  Case Management and Counseling services delivered via technology (teleconferencing, telephone, or other means) including Family Immigration Services and ESL Case Management

    • We provide food and necessities to people in need through signature programs and by teaming up with hundreds of Hunger Relief Partners to serve communities across Colorado and Wyoming, the largest food bank coverage area in the contiguous United States.

  • Veterans Crisis Line

    • Free, 24/7, confidential support is a call away. The Veterans Crisis Line can help even if you’re not enrolled in VA benefits or health care.
  • Colorado Crisis Services

    • Colorado Crisis Services is the statewide behavioral health crisis response system offering residents mental health, substance use or emotional crisis help, information and referrals. Its mission is to strengthen Colorado’s mental health system by providing Coloradans with greater access to crisis services wherever they are at 24/7/365 regardless of ability to pay.
  • Jefferson Center for Mental Health
    • Jefferson Center’s programs and services foster recovery and resilience in children, adults and families struggling with mental health problems.
  • The Headstrong Project
    • Headstrong is a national-facing mental health treatment practice of choice for our nation’s military, veterans, and their associated family members. Operating as a nonprofit, we offer stigma-free, evidence-based, trauma-focused treatment.

 Technology/Supplies:

  • Tech for Troops
    • Tech for Troops is the fastest growing national non-partisan veterans organization bridging the digital divide. We provide in need veterans and children of veterans with affordable refurbished computers and opportunities to partner with businesses that provide training and networking experiences.
  • Computers with Causes
    • We invite anyone in need of a working computer to complete the application. We have a full list of the causes we support (causes) with our main emphasis being the assistance of; students, teachers, and parents, the elderly, foster homes, shelters, disabled US veterans and struggling military families, and like-minded nonprofit organizations.
  • Affordable Connectivity Program
    • The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more. The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.
  • PCs for People
    • PCs for People provides refurbished computers to eligible customers for affordable prices. We also provide low-cost high-speed internet solutions. Through computers, internet, digital skills training, and technical support, we work to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to reach their full potential through digital technology.

Financial Assistance:

  • VALOR Loan Program – Small Business Loans for Vets
  • Total and Permanent Disability Discharge – Discharge of Federal loans for 100% disabled Vets
    • If you are totally and permanently disabled, you may qualify for a total and permanent disability (TPD) discharge of your federal student loans or TEACH Grant service obligation. If you receive a TPD discharge, you will no longer be required to repay your loans or complete your TEACH Grant service obligation.
  • Colorado Low-income Energy Assistance Program
    • The Colorado Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) is a federally funded program that helps eligible hard-working Colorado families, seniors and individuals pay a portion of their winter home heating costs. Our goal is to help bring warmth, comfort and safety to your home and family by assisting with heating costs.
