Spring 2025: May 17, 2025 - Commencement Ceremony, 10am at the Outdoor Pavilion/Multi-purpose Field

We are now accepting applications for Spring 2025. The deadline is February 5th. Please do not apply for any other semesters at this time.
Nominations for Outstanding Graduate are now being accepted from faculty, staff or current students, including self-nominations. Two Outstanding Graduates will be selected to speak at the May 17 commencement ceremony. To nominate a student, please fill out the form below. The nominee must have completed a minimum of thirty semester credit hours at Red Rocks Community College with a GPA of 3.25 or better.
The nominee must be a Summer 2024, Fall 2024, or a Spring 2025 graduate. Nominees must have demonstrated a positive impact in one or more of the following areas:

The Red Rocks Community College Commencement Committee is pleased to announce we will be at the RRCC Pavilion for our ceremony on Saturday (May 17). Diploma covers and programs will be presented and professional photographers will be there to capture the moment. The ceremony will be livestreamed so loved ones unable to attend can watch their graduates commemorate their achievement.
Caps and gowns must be worn for the Ceremony!
Graduates will meet and line up in the RRCC Student Recreation Center gym promptly at 9:30am and the ceremony will begin at 10:00am. Please wear your cap and gown and do not arrive before 9:00am as we will still be setting up. Location: Outdoor pavilion/multi-purpose field located north of the east parking lot will be the location of the actual ceremony. (map)
Rehearsal for grads participating in the ceremony will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025. Meet at the Rec Center Gymnasium. The Rehearsal is optional but recommended.
Guest seating will be available in the Pavilion area on a first-come, first-served basis on the date of the ceremony.
Graduates or their guests requesting accommodations for disabilities should contact Accessibility Services at least 72 hours prior to the event. Please call 303.914.6733 or email access@rrcc.edu. Seating in the accessible area will be limited to the disabled person and two guests.
All lots will be open. Accessible parking spots will be designated in the East lot and the short-term parking. The entrance to the East lot will be closed when it is full. Golf carts will circle the lots to assist people needing mobility assistance.
You will receive a card for your personal information. You must have this card with you during the ceremony and give it to the narrator as you move on stage. The narrator will use the card to announce your name as you receive your diploma cover. Please write clearly and include a phonetic spelling, if needed. Please fill out the back of the card for photo information.
An ASL interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing will be on the left side of the stage. Real-time captioning is available on your personal mobile device. There will be a number of temporary restrooms (including accessible restrooms) set up in various locations near the Pavilion. As well, Grads and guests can use the restrooms in the East Wing of the building and the Rec Center.
Diplomas are not issued at the ceremony. You will be receiving a padded diploma cover when you cross the stage. Spring 2025 diplomas and certificates will be mailed out June 2025, providing that final grades have been posted and all relevant financial obligations have been met.
All Honors Recognition graduates participating in the ceremony can be awarded a medallion. To qualify your cumulative G.P.A. must be 3.85 or higher and completing the requirements for any degree or completing the requirements for a certificate program at Red Rocks Community College that requires at least 30 credits. If you do qualify, please contact student.records@rrcc.edu the week before the Ceremony. Medallions will be available through the Student Records/Graduation office the week of the ceremony and can be worn on your gown. Medallions will also be available at the Rehearsal and before the Ceremony.
Please note: PTK and Honors Recognition are two separate entities. Honors Graduates will be noted in the Commencement Program
