Humanities is the study of literature, philosophy, art, music and theatre. It provides an excellent background for professions such as teaching, writing, community service, law and research. Humanities is also the key to understanding individual cultures, from music to the way people dress and act.

Program Overview

Humanities teaches us where we came from and where we are going. The discipline stresses interdisciplinary connections and interactive learning.

Humanities offers courses leading to an Associates of Arts Degree in other areas, which provides the first two years of course work towards a Bachelor of Arts. The AA and our guaranteed core courses are designed to transfer to Colorado's public four-year colleges and universities.
