Kimball Cicciu bio
Name: Kimball Cicciu
Education/Certifications: Licensed Acupuncturist, Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) |
About Me: I have been practicing yoga and meditation nearly every day since 1992. At the time that I began, I was working as a fitness trainer for groups and individuals while attending school to pursue Chinese Medicine. After graduating with a degree in Chinese Medicine in 1999, I moved to Colorado to enjoy the great outdoors. I have been blessed to be able to help so many people with acupuncture, massage, herbal medicine, and yoga since then. I love treating all sorts of conditions including digestive complaints, sleep disorders, and pain but I do have a soft spot for treating women’s health issues including fertility, PMS, Breach babies, and labor induction. Yoga has taught me to be patient, to listen, and to allow things to roll off my back with more ease. I hope to share these gifts with others on the mat.
Courses Taught: Yoga 1, Yoga Teacher Training, Introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Anatomical Kinesiology, and Advanced Musculoskeletal anatomy.
Hobbies: I love to practice yoga and to meditate. I am also interested in nutrition and it’s effects on the body. I enjoy hiking, running, cross-country skiing, reading, playing the piano, and most recently, knitting.
Favorite Quotes: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift. That’s why we call it the present.” I think this is a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt but I first heard it on the movie Kung Fu Panda.
