A mechanical engineer and former Navy, F-14 fighter pilot and TOPGUN graduate, Capt. Ferguson piloted Space Shuttle Atlantis in 2006, and commanded Space Shuttle Endeavor in 2008, and the final Space Shuttle mission EVER in 2011. He has logged more than 40 days in space with three flights to the International Space Station.
