Americorps is a network of local, state, and national service programs that connects more than 70,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet our country’s critical needs in education, public safety, health and the environment.

The UCAN Serve Americorps Program
UCAN Serve – Utah/Colorado/Arizona/Nevada – AmeriCorps State program is a regional effort to engage students in the Americorps Program while serving earning student service scholarships. UCAN Serve is the largest higher education AmeriCorps program in the country, which provides $5.4 million annually in scholarships.

UCAN Serve offers three levels of AmeriCorps participation, depending on members’ individual needs, each with a corresponding education award or service scholarship in return for the service provided:
• 300 service hours in one year = $1,000
• 450 service hours in one year = $1,250
• 900 service hours in up to two years = $2,363
