About the Library
RRCC Library Mission
The mission of the Red Rocks Community College Library is to support the educational goals of the students, faculty, and staff both in the classroom and beyond the walls of the college. We are building an inclusive, collaborative, and vibrant campus destination that facilitates and celebrates the academic and creative activities of the RRCC community. We strive to provide equal access to information, ideas, and knowledge, and we uphold the Library Bill of Rights and the ALA Code of Ethics.
Statement of Inclusive Excellence
The RRCC Library is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Because library spaces and collections can reflect broader systems of inequity, we commit to a system of continuous improvement that ensures our services and collections will support growth, foster community, and elevate historically underrepresented voices. We endorse the ALA Resolution to Condemn White Supremacy and Fascism as Antithetical to Library Work and adopt radical empathy rather than neutrality as our guiding value (2020-2021 ALA CD#19.6).
